Westfalia's original propane tank fill system is an out-of-date design that should be replaced for several reasons.
The original Westy propane tank was equipped with an "auto-stop filling port", which had a tube attached to the fluid level that was supposed to automatically shut off the filling port. This system was somewhat problematic when new and now is often non-functioning or even dangerous in our 35-45 year old vans!
Replace the old filler system with a new Double-check Fill Valve and manual Level / Vent Valve together or go ahead and replace the other decades-old items at the same time.

Notes on regulator replacement. The length (inlet-to-outlet) on the OEM regulators was not entirely consistent. The regulators we supply may (depending on your OEM regulator) may require bending or other modifications to the copper tubing on the outlet side of the regulator. Some of the OEM regulators were particularly short and no currently available regulator is this compact. If you order, be prepared to make some changes.

Adapter - Goes between the output of the Supply Isolation Valve and the input side of the Regulator. Includes internal "Excess Flow" limiting device to diminish flow in case of line failure.
