Peg Cleat Tie-Wrap Attachments
A replacement product for the special no-longer-available tie-wrap that VW used to attach wires, hoses and lines to the body of the Vanagon.
These replace the special tie-wrap which had the peg attachment point built into the plastic tie wrap. Over the years these have all broken or fallen off our vans. Since these are no longer available, the typical repair has been to use another type of fastener by drilling and adding a screw through your van's body. This introduces a new rust penetration point and damages your van. Each Vanagon has at least seven of these peg type attachment points. Not all pegs are typically used. These cleats snap on to the existing pegs and then allow the tie-wrap of your choice of length and material. Printed from high-strength PETG (Polyethylene terephthalate glycol) material. Accommodates tie-wraps up to 0.1" (2.5mm) thick and 0.3" (7.5mm) wide. |
The original part number this is intended to replace is 811-971-850, 811 971 850, 811971850
